How To Stop Hair Loss After Menopause

So everything started a little over a week ago when i thought I had a Yeast Infection. I had this odd inner and outer labia itchiness and irritation and slight, white, vaginal discharge, that to me didn't seem normal. Thus, I used yogurt for a couple of days which really didn't do much, but I thought it was just because it takes more than a couple of days for the yogurt to clear the Yeast Infection, but in desperation I "upgraded" to a Garlic suppository that was nicked all over, wrapped in gauze, soaked in yogurt and inserted into my vagina. I did this garlic thing for 3 days after I tried the yogurt only method to no avail. The garlic clove then started turning blue the last couple of times I removed it, and it seemed like my symptoms were getting better. I stopped treatment because I was panicking because the inside of my vagina was getting these little white dots inside of my vagina that would not be removed, like my flesh was actually turning white, which was weird and has never happened before (as this was not my first time attempting to cure my vaginal discomfort)!Nonetheless, a couple days later, after some play time with my BF, my vagina was irritated, sore, and in pain (especially in the outer and inner labia). So I knew I had to try something else, I bought some Tea Tree Oil and put it in a little towel with water and then applied it to the outside of my vagina, i felt slight tingling but that was it. Then i put two drops of it (undiluted), again on my outer and inner labia and around my vaginal opening, because I was panicking and thought 'more was better'. BAD IDEA. It burned like no other, even ice and super cold water and air wouldn't calm my new burning sensation that lasted like 20 minutes because of this tea tree oil. Today (which is the day after I applied the tea tree oil) I woke up and my vagina is like irritated--specifically it is dark pink/brown spots, hard, leather like texture, and dry. I am freaking out, because this is not normal for me. My vagina is usually light pink, soft, fluffy, and moist. I tried getting an appointment in to a Planned Parenthood but they wont get me in for another week and a half, and I've already had this problem for almost two weeks. I'm going to try being a walk-in Wednesday morning but they wont guarantee they will see me even if i wait there all day. Which worries me even more. I don't have health insurance anymore and I just graduated college last month so I can't go to my school's health center. Now I'm not even worried so much about my vaginal discomfort but what seems like a genital chemical burn. Now what I am asking is:1. Have any of you experienced this same reaction with tea tree oil (not the burning sensation but the visible outcome of what appears to be a chemical burn)?2.Do any of you know if what I got was a chemical burn from the Tea Tree oil? Will it heal? Will I get a Scar? Will the color of my skin go back to how it used to be? Will my skin's texture go back to normal? 3. Is their anything you guys can suggest for my "chemical burn" to soften/heal it? Does Vitamin E sound like a good idea?4. Has anyone had ANY KIND of chemical burn in the outside genitalia area and did it get better? did it go back to how it used to be? I am really scared and worried. I am upset this this may be a scar I may have to live with forever.   Details are highly appreciated. Thank You. I use Tea Tree Oil to treat stretch marks. so it doesn't seem like it would cause scaring, but I really don't know. I'm intrigued by this. Do you just mix it with how to stop hair loss after menopause regular fragrance free lotion? Also, does it work pretty well? Thanks! I realize this isn't vagina related, but I'm truly curious!. It is kind of a weird regime (sp?)My stretch marks are really old (7 years). so usual stuff didn't work. This I don't think will compltely get rid of them, but lessens them.I put aloe vera on in the morning. A couple times a day I put cocoa butter on. And at night I apply the oil directly to the stretch marks with my finger. Very strong. They have lessened. which for someone who had given up is quite happy to see some improvement. I never thought of mixing it with a lotion. I wonder if that would work :). Tea Tree Oil, applied directly, can cause burning. It doesn't happen often, but I've seen it before. If you were already irritated, I am thinking that just set you up for it. Give it a bit and yes, you will go back to normal. I would use alcohol free aloe vera or something of the like. I've used TTO straight up on blemishes, and after repeated applications it does feel "burned". While most sources consider it "mild", undiluted tea tree oil is still pretty caustic/irritating (as are most undiluted essential oils). Rashes and irritation are not uncommon, especially in cases of undiluted tea tree oil being applied in excess. The irritation should go away, but if you can have someone check it out at Planned Parenthood, that would be great. Can you call the triage line for your local hospital? The nurses on staff are generally pretty helpful and might be able to let you know if vitamin e will help alleviate discomfort or if it is something that needs to just heal on its own. I used Nair on my bikini area once and despite trying to be careful, some of the mixture migrated to my clitoral hood and I ended up with a chemical burn. As far as I can tell, the skin is completely back to normal now--no scarring, no change in texture, sensitivity, etc. Of course, this is going to vary from person to person and with the severity of the burn.I've applied straight up tea tree oil to my lady bits, but can't say I've had a reaction like that. I get the tingly feeling, but that's about it. From the description, I'm a little unsure of whether or not it's a chemical burn. When I had my burn, the skin was dark pink/red and raw, but still soft and moist. Since tea tree can be really drying, I don't see why you couldn't use some kind of moisturizer like aloe or vitamin. Just make sure that your skin is intact. Moisturizer doesn't belong on open sores or wounds. A lot of people have a strong reaction from using undiluted TTO on skin like the face, so I would not be surprised if the reaction is even stronger on the vagina. :\. The skin in your vulva is designed to heal from trauma very well, it will heal on your own just as if you burned your tongue, some a&d ointment might make it feel a little better though. I agree with betsybang . Just flush your skin well with water and keep the area clean and dry. Wear cotton undies or shorts whenever you can, and use some diaper rash ointment for your skin. Some regular, thick Desitin, or A&D ointment will do the trick. They will both help your skin heal, and not make any yeast infection/bacterial infection you may have going on any worse at all. They are both good, but thick. A&D is clear, Desitin is white, but I always find it really cooling and soothing. You can just let yourself rest and heal until you see the doctor. There could always be a prescription cream that you'll get from the doctor, but these creams could help you until then. (I've had a doctor tell me to get one of them instead of a pricey Rx.). Hi there,This is probably my 3rd time using tea tree oil. I never go that extreme with soaking a tampon with tea tree oil and inserting in vagina. What I do is grab a bit of toilet paper and put a few drops of tea tree then wet it. Squeeze out excess and put it between the labia area. I do this while I am taking a shower and then I remove it. Anyhow, today I did this twice in the shower and my vagina was like on fire! I quickly grab one Vit E capsule I have in my fridge and applied it topically to external labia area. And immediately I felt relief. Though the total burning probably took another 30 min to feel normal enough again, it really does help. Give it a try next time.Vitamin is also good at healing scars. Also, maybe you should go check it out with doctors regarding those bumps and to ensure it is an yeast infection.Good luck!. I know this was long ago but how did it work out for you? I just used a slight amount of tea tree oil in water and squirted it on me and Im all swollen up and sore like crazy :( What helped quickly?Cyndi.
